Early Language Acquisition Services (ELAS)

ELAS works alongside Early Intervention Services to provide support for families with Deaf and hard-of-hearing children from birth to age five. Our goal is to empower families by providing support for early visual language acquisition and language access, ensuring children meet age-appropriate language developmental milestones.

ELAS Services include:

  • Family-centered ASL instruction
  • Language assessments using research-backed tools
  • Early Language Acquisition Specialists who model ASL and share cultural insights
  • Home visits and virtual sessions
  • Collaboration with Early Intervention providers and Teachers of the Deaf

We believe early exposure to a complete language such as ASL is key to lifelong success for Deaf children.
