Early Language Acquisition Services (ELAS)
ELAS works alongside Early Intervention Services to provide support for families with Deaf and hard-of-hearing children from birth to age five. Our goal is to empower families by providing support for early visual language acquisition and language access, ensuring children meet age-appropriate language developmental milestones.
ELAS Services include:
- Family-centered ASL instruction
- Language assessments using research-backed tools
- Early Language Acquisition Specialists who model ASL and share cultural insights
- Home visits and virtual sessions
- Collaboration with Early Intervention providers and Teachers of the Deaf
