About Us

The Kelly's Kids program is a partnership between the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind and Spartanburg County First Steps Early Head Start. The Kelly's Kids Center is named in memory of Marcia Hastay Kelly who dedicated her career to the education of children with disabilities.

Kelly's Kids is licensed by the SC Department of Social Services. In the fall of 2014, Kelly's Kids was named an A+ center with Advocates for Better Childcare, their highest rating. Kelly's Kids also maintains the highest rating, 5-Star, with Quality Counts of Spartanburg.

The staff in the Kelly's Kids Center hold a wide range of credentials that include infant/toddler education, early childhood education, deaf education, and social work. All staff members are certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid, and receive ongoing professional training.

Kelly’s Kids expands service, enrollment potential  

Kelly’s Kids has opened an additional classroom which allows the program to now serve 16 children!

In their partnership with Spartanburg County Early Head Start, Kelly’s Kids can now go outside the border of Spartanburg County to serve children who are deaf/hard-of-hearing or blind/visually impaired.
