Braille Production Center
The Instructional Materials Center utilizes the Braille Production Center, located in Greenwood, to obtain braille materials that are not readily available. The Braille Production Center provides K-12 braille textbooks for students served through the State Department of Education. It also produces materials for organizations nationwide that serve individuals who blind or visually impaired.
Transcribers, working at the Braille Production Center, are certified in literary, Nemeth, Unified English Braille, music, textbook formatting, and/or proofreading. They produce high quality braille and computer tactile graphics using Braillo and Tiger embossers.
