July 12, 2018: Spartanburg Regional Foundation Grant
Spartanburg Regional Foundation Contributes to the
SC School for the Deaf and the Blind’s Healthy School Initiative
SPARTANBURG, SC –Spartanburg Regional Foundation is helping the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind expand its Healthy School Initiative through a recent grant award.
The grant provides funds for two Clorox Total 360 Systems to clean and sanitize classrooms, nursing stations, and buses. The school’s maintenance department tried a 360 System earlier this year and found it to be effective in cleaning multiple surfaces beyond the department’s usual deep cleaning. The system can be used to spray desks, beds, walls, floors, and bus seats – virtually any surface that could potentially carry germs.
“The Spartanburg Regional Foundation has been a long-time partner in health with the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind,” said Ann Akerman, chief executive officer of the school’s foundation. “We are so thankful for their commitment to the health of the Spartanburg community and the surrounding area including our students.”
