Apply Now for the McAlister Scholarship

Every year, the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind and its foundation award the McAlister Scholarship to a qualified applicant. This full scholarship can be used at any four-year state college in South Carolina.

Applicants must be graduates or upcoming graduates of:

• the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind or
• a South Carolina public school where the student received services through the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Outreach Program

The scholarship honors the memory of Mallie McAlister Clark, a 1934 graduate of our School for the Deaf. It was established by the late Paul W. McAlister and his late wife, Barbara, of Laurens, SC  through the McAlister Foundation in 2007.

The deadline to apply is March 24, 2023.
