    Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Outreach Program

    Through contracts with local school districts, our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Outreach Program strives to meet the needs of students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deaf-blind. Our team works with local special education directors, teachers, and medical professionals to ensure that students reach their maximum potential.


    Our Program

    Our Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Outreach Program offers local school districts:

    • Direct instruction for students

    • Coaching and consultation for parents and school staff


    Staff Training and Expertise

    Our certified teachers of the deaf and hard of hearing have extensive training and expertise in a variety of areas including:

    • Language, communication, and literacy
           Listening and spoken language
           Sign language
           Reading and writing

    • Early childhood education (ages birth to five years)                                              

    • General education (kindergarten - grade 12)

    • Post high school transition planning (ages 18-21 years)

    • Multiple disabilities

    • Assistive technology
