The Applied Academics program prepares students for jobs or continued education upon graduation. Students are introduced to career opportunities and work experiences with a goal for every graduate to be “Career or College Ready.”

At age 13, students begin initial career exploration through a series of career awareness classes. Students learn the requirements to be successful in various careers or, in other words, “Pathways to Success.”

In high school, students participate in career preparation exercises such as resume building and the interview process. They also have the opportunity to work on and off campus.

A team of staff members, state agencies, and businesses assists seniors in obtaining jobs in their chosen fields and transitioning into the work force, or continuing their education.
