A Note from our PresidentWelcome to the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind website. We’re glad you stopped by for an online visit. If it has been a while since your last visit, you might be surprised by our many new initiatives.
Academics is still the major focus on our main campus in Spartanburg. And, in recent years, we’ve placed increased emphasis on reading, leadership, technology, and future employment. We’re also striving to provide flexible programs that meet each student’s individual needs.
Our nationally recognized outreach programs continue to grow at a rapid pace. We’re expanding our early intervention program to serve more preschoolers in homes throughout the state. Our vision and hearing services are increasing in school districts statewide, and our Braille Production Center is upgrading to better serve every SC school district.
We’ve made significant strides in recent years, but continuous improvement will always be our goal. Working side-by-side with parents and professionals, we want to provide statewide leadership in education and accessibility.
These are just a few of our many initiatives, and I hope you will visit often to learn more about us. Thank you for stopping by.
Sincerely,Page B. Mc Craw, Ph.D.President
