Diploma ACT 155

ACT 155 Diploma Information

Through the passage of Act 155, the South Carolina General Assembly approved the removal of the exit exam as a requirement for graduation beginning with the graduating class of 2015. The elimination of the exit exam (BSAP, HSAP) requirement is retroactive to the graduating class of 1990.

Any student who did not pass the BSAP/HSAP exam in high school, from 1990 to 2014, may petition the local school board to determine if he or she can receive a high school diploma under the Act 155. Persons eligible to receive a South Carolina high school diploma under these provisions must have met all other graduation requirements at the time of his or her high school attendance.

For alumni of the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind who fit this category, please complete the form below to initiate the process. Our Education Services team will reach out to assist you.
