Admissions Overview
The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind works with parents and professionals to help children realize dreams. Together with local school districts, we strive to match children who are deaf or blind with the best educational options to meet their individual needs.
In South Carolina, parents may choose for their child to attend school in the local school district or to attend the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind, provided the child meets all admission criteria. Admission decisions are determined by a multi-disciplinary admission team through careful review and consideration of all information made available through the admission process.
We welcome the opportunity to share the many options available with you. You may decide that enrollment on the main campus in Spartanburg is the best option for your child, or you may choose to access our specialized outreach services in your local school district.
