• Communication with Parents

Keeping communication lines open with parents and working together is high priority in the Residential Program. Parents are encouraged to telephone their child as often as they deem necessary. Parents may call their child’s residential hall from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. Videophones are available.

Human service specialists make weekly contacts with parents according to the parent’s preference – telephone, e-mail, or relay call. Letters are also sent to parents. Monthly calendars of all residential life events are available to parents upon request.

Parents are welcome to visit their children during the week and are encouraged to come to special events. Overnight accommodations are available by contacting the administrative assistant in your child’s school.
