• Speech and Language

Certified speech language pathologists at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind work with students to increase their communication skills which may mean focusing on:
    • articulation
    • fluency
    • voice
    • oral motor
    • auditory training
    • receptive and expressive language skills
Students benefit tremendously from speech therapy both academically and socially. Students learn communication skills that help them succeed in their studies and help them feel more comfortable in a social environment. Speech language pathologists work closely with the school audiologist as necessary.
