American Sign Language (ASL) Services
Statewide ASL Services offers language acquisition opportunities to support communication that is meaningful and accessible to all. Taught by highly qualified Deaf individuals, our ASL classes are designed to develop basic conversational skills.
All ASL classes meet twice a week for one hour and are offered remotely through Zoom (computer and internet service required).
Note: No one is permitted to attend class unless officially registered, and you must be 15 years or older to register. Our classes are not approved for SC Carnegie units or college credit.
Attendance: Regular attendance is required — attendance is recorded daily and reviewed regularly. Learners who miss more than three sessions will be disconnected from class.
Registration Fee: $75.00, payable by check or money order, is due on or before your first class meeting to remain enrolled. No refunds will be issued after the second class meeting.
*This fee is waived for SCSDB employees/volunteers, parents/guardians of a student currently attending SCSDB, Kelly's Kids, or receiving Early Intervention services through the Division of Outreach, first responders, and active or retired military.
Watch for more classes coming soon!Questions?
