Mission
The Walker Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind and its Multihandicapped Programs. Through the raising of funds, to building relationships across the state, The Walker Foundation seeks to maximize each student’s individual opportunities for success. The Walker Foundation strives to support the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind in every way possible to ensure that its students achieve maximum success through high-quality educational programs, outreach services and partnerships. The Foundation’s tradition of giving to the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind has continued over 30 years, and upholds the generosity of its founders, Reverend Newton Pinckney Walker and Martha L. Hughston Walker. The Foundation receives community support and charitable contributions from gracious donors who share its mission and the state’s mission to support the school and its students. |
