The mission of the Walker Foundation is to secure those resources that will enable the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB) to achieve its mission and goals.

The Walker Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind and its students.  Through sharing the school’s stories, to building partnerships across the state, to raising funds for support, the Walker Foundation seeks to maximize each student’s individual opportunities for success.  The Walker Foundation works closely with businesses, other foundations, civic groups and individuals to promote the abilities of our special students.  Through education, we seek to build understanding, acceptance and support for persons with sensory disabilities so that they are able to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives of productivity and independence.
