Overview
Does your child have both hearing and vision impairments? The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind’s Early Intervention Program is here to help parents and guardians across South Carolina who may have answered “yes” to any or all of the questions above. The Early Intervention Program, in partnership with South Carolina First Steps, identifies, educates and serves children who are deaf or blind. Children in the program range in age from birth to 3 and reside in counties throughout the state. Parents may choose to register their child with BabyNet, a statewide early intervention database that helps early interventionists identify the services needed for each child.
