Overview

 

Independence is essential for a student to reach maximum success. Developing that independence involves going beyond the classroom and into the student’s everyday life.

 

Through the Independent Living Skills Program, students are taught basic skills needed to succeed after graduation. With everything from personal hygiene skills to maintaining organized personal space, students build the necessary foundation for increased independence.
 
Through the Independent Living Skills Program, students are afforded opportunities to:
  • Develop crucial daily-living skills
  • Express and learn self-advocacy skills
  • Develop character education
  • Refine communication skills and behavior patterns
