Low Vision Options

Overview

When the traditional school day ends, students at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind participate in a variety of educational and recreational activities including:

• Tutoring programs and homework clubs
• Library activities
• Fine arts enrichment classes
• Athletics and physical activities
• Clubs and recreation
• Independent living skills
• Character education

Residential/Day Students

Students who reside on the main campus Monday – Friday may select from a variety of after-school activities. Day students may participate in all athletic and after-school activities if parents arrange for transportation to and from the activities.

Fees

There are no fees for the After-School Program at the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind. These activities are funded by a combination of state allocations and private donations. Student athletes may incur some costs for meals when traveling.
