OverviewSchool for the Deaf high school student sets the table


Through the Independent Living Skills Program, students are taught the basics skills needed to succeed after graduation. With everything from personal hygiene skills to maintaining organized personal space, students build the necessary foundation for total independence.

 

Through the Independent Living Skills Program, students:
  • Develop crucial daily-living skills
  • Express and learn self-advocacy skills
  • Participate in character education classes
  • Refine communication skills and behavior patterns
  • Experience jobs, first-hand, through career preparation classes

There are no fees to attend the School for the Deaf or participate in the Independent Living Program.
