The Applied Academics Center Program is designed to prepare students for jobs or continued education in post-high school, career or technical institutions. Additional classes include:
At age 13, students begin initial career exploration through a series of career awareness classes. In high school, students participate in career preparation exercises such as resume building and the interview process. They also have the opportunity to work on and off campus.
The Applied Academics Center Program assists seniors in obtaining job placement in their field of choice and assists with transition into the workforce.
Classes are offered through occupational clusters, including:
Agriculture, food, and natural resources
Architecture and construction
Marketing, sales, and service
Hospitality and tourism
Information technology
Transportation, distribution, and logistics
Education and training
Health sciences
Arts, audio/visual technology, and communications
Computer Science & Keyboarding
