Dual Language Program
Overview
Through this new program, students can take advantage of classroom instruction designed specifically for children with speech in the hearing range and who use cochlear implants or hearing aids. They have the unique opportunity to learn both spoken language and sign language.
The Dual Language Program offers the full range of academic coursework with a strong emphasis on language and vocabulary development. Listening, speaking and sign language are valued. Emphasis is placed on speech, language, auditory therapy and visual phonics.
In addition, careful attention is paid to meeting acoustical needs.
