SC School for the Deaf and the Blind Offers Transition Workshop

 

CONWAY – The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB) Coastal Regional Outreach Center will host an open house and information-sharing program on transitioning from high school to postsecondary educational opportunities for students who are deaf/hard of hearing or blind/visually impaired

            The event will be held at the SCSDB Coastal Regional Outreach Center, 212 Main Street, Conway, SC on Thursday, February 22, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.  The event is free but pre-registration is preferred.  A sign language interpreter will be available.  For more information or to register, call (843) 248-8100 (Voice) or (843) 248-0937 (TTY).

            The program will offer information about the SC Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (SC TEDP), services offered by the Coastal Regional Outreach Center and SCSDB’s postsecondary education program.

             The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind is a specialized instructional and resource center. It provides services statewide for individuals who are deaf, blind or sensory multidisabled, their families and the professionals who work with them. SCSDB offers programs for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, sensory multidisabled, vocational and postsecondary educational students, as well as a variety of outreach and support services.
