COLUMBIA – Student performers from the SC School for the Deaf and the Blind (SCSDB) will be special guests of the SC General Assembly on Wednesday, February 6.

            Student performers from the Spartanburg campus will entertain in the House of Representatives during the 10 a.m. session.  The group, who will be introduced by Rep. Scott Talley, will sing and dance the shag to the song Stay.  The group of performers is comprised of students from the Division for the Blind, the Division for the Deaf and the Division for the Multihandicapped. 

            Talley will also introduce the school’s new president, Dr. Pamela C. Shaw who came to SCSDB from the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and the Blind in Talladega.              Members of the SCSDB School Improvement Council, the SCSDB Board of Commissioners and The Walker Foundation Board of Trustees will be in attendance to enjoy the students’ performance.

academic accomplishments and a Red Carpet School for its outstanding customer service.
