Walker Foundation Board of
Trustees Elects Officers
Russell
R. Raines of Inman is chairman; Phyllis B. DeLapp of
Raines
replaces Robert A. Dobson of
Raines has been on the board since 2005 and is involved in local, state and international organizations.
DeLapp, past treasurer of The Walker Foundation, was the former owner of Mid-South Management Company, Inc., which owned small daily and weekly newspapers throughout
the Southeast. She has been a member of the board since 1998.

The Walker Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) public, non-profit foundation, licensed by the S.C. Department of Public Charities. Through the generosity of its contributors, the foundation aids and strengthens the work of SCSDB across the state by providing grants, referral information, public awareness programs and direct assistance.
The SC Department of
Education named SCSDB a
SCSDB is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the
Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf
and the SC Department of Education.
SCSDB offers programs for preschool, elementary, middle school, high
school, sensory multidisabled, vocational and
postsecondary education students, as well as a variety of outreach services
